Waste not, want not… how to slice a pepper.

I saw this on a cookery programme years ago and I’ve used it ever since. This is how to slice a pepper up without any waste.

Top and tail the pepper like so…
pepperThen make a cut lengthways in the pepper, slide your knife round the inside of the flesh and you’ll be left with the seeds and some of the white pith. Push the stalk through the sliced end with your fingers and you’ll end up with all of the pepper flesh ready for cooking.
