Handy seasonal fruit and vegetable guide

I like eating fruits and vegetables that are reasonably local and very much so in season. It helps the local economy, it’s cheaper and it’s more environmentally friendly.

Below is a list of vegetables to be found in Ireland.

January

As for me, if I had to choose one single veg to eat every day for the rest of my days, it would have to be the beautiful and versatile beetroot. I can’t get enough of it! What’s your favourite?
